If you are travelling east on the Trans Canada Highway (#1), take the United Boulevard off-ramp and then turn right onto United Boulevard. Watch for the Maple Leaf Self Storage Coquitlam signage on your left. If travelling west on the Trans Canada Highway or on Lougheed Highway, watch for the United Boulevard directional signage.
Our Maple Leaf Self Storage Coquitlam units are state-of-the-art and come in a wide variety of sizes ranging from 25 sq ft to over 500 sq ft. They are suitable for both household and business storage customers. This modern facility offers two levels of climate-controlled interior storage and a large assortment of climate-controlled drive-up units. The facility is equipped with two over-sized elevators, extra-wide corridors and wide drive aisles to make your storage experience easy and hassle-free. The ceiling heights on our Coquitlam storage units are 9.5 ft rather than the standard 8 ft., so you get more space for your money. Our business office is spacious and offers a private area where business clients can complete paperwork and make calls. We also offer exterior storage for vehicles, boats and RVs. When you’re ready to move items into a Maple Leaf Storage unit, we want to ensure your move goes as smoothly as possible. Here are a few things you will need to bring with you:
Two pieces of government-issued identification (such as a passport, driver’s licence or birth certificate). At least one piece of identification must have a clear photograph
Your contact information including an email address if available
The name, address and telephone number of one alternative contact who does not live with you
A keyed padlock. If you don’t have one, don’t worry. We have a very good selection high-quality, reasonably priced locks available for purchase in our store
A first payment (we accept cash, all major credit cards and debit cards).
To complete rental documents, please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the store’s closing.
What not to store
Common sense and government laws determine what may be stored in self storage facilities. Please read the following to ensure that you, your belongings and your fellow customers are safe at all times.
As a rule, never store any of the following:
Firearms, explosives, weapons or ammunition
Hazardous, toxic or radioactive goods, biological agents and flammable materials and liquids. These present a serious danger to the facility, its personnel, other customers and your goods.
Gas canisters (e.g. for barbeques or recreational vehicle use) and aerosol cans.
Pollutants, contaminated goods, asbestos or other materials of a potentially dangerous nature.
Cash or securities, coins, precious stones, jewellery, antiques or fine art unless specifically agreed with us in writing, in advance of storing such goods in the unit.
Illegal substances, illegal items or goods illegally obtained
Birds, fish, animals or any other living creature
Food or perishable goods . Dry foods (like rice, flour, pet food etc.)
Scented candles or ornaments made of edible ingredients (e.g. popcorn strings, cookie or play-dough ornaments)
Waste or other items which do or could emit any fumes, smell or odour
Please ensure that the fuel tanks of any items that require fuel (e.g. motorbikes, lawnmowers, cars) are fully drained.
Stoves, barbeques and other cooking appliances should be thoroughly cleaned so as not to attract pests. Refrigeration equipment should be defrosted and dry, and the door left open to allow air circulation and to prevent mould.
