Maple Leaf Self Storage Richmond is located on No. 4 Road just off Highway 99, and five minutes from Vancouver International Airport. We’re just 2 kilometres south of SW Marine Drive and just north of Cambie Road. If travelling south on Highway 99, take the No. 4 Road exit and watch for the Maple Leaf Self Storage signs on your immediate left. If travelling north on Highway 99, take the Westminster Highway exit heading west and then turn right on No. 4 Road.
Our Richmond storage units come in a variety of types and sizes ranging from 15 sq ft to over 350 sq ft. They are suitable for both household and business storage customers. This highly accessible and well-maintained facility offers a significant number of drive-up units and wide drive aisles, so it is easy to navigate around the site. Many of our Richmond storage units are accessible from ground level and have ceilings heights of 8.5 ft. Our business office is spacious and offers a private area where business clients can complete paperwork and make calls. We also offer exterior storage for vehicles, boats and RVs.

When you’re ready to move items into a Maple Leaf Storage unit, we want to ensure your move goes as smoothly as possible. Here are a few things you will need to bring with you:
Two pieces of government-issued identification (such as a passport, driver’s licence or birth certificate). At least one piece of identification must have a clear photograph
Your contact information including an email address if available
The name, address and telephone number of one alternative contact who does not live with you
A keyed padlock. If you don’t have one, don’t worry. We have a very good selection high-quality, reasonably priced locks available for purchase in our store
A first payment (we accept cash, all major credit cards and debit cards).
To complete rental documents, please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the store’s closing.
What not to store
Common sense and government laws determine what may be stored in self storage facilities. Please read the following to ensure that you, your belongings and your fellow customers are safe at all times.
As a rule, never store any of the following:
Firearms, explosives, weapons or ammunition
Hazardous, toxic or radioactive goods, biological agents and flammable materials and liquids. These present a serious danger to the facility, its personnel, other customers and your goods.
Gas canisters (e.g. for barbeques or recreational vehicle use) and aerosol cans
Pollutants, contaminated goods, asbestos or other materials of a potentially dangerous nature
Cash or securities, coins, precious stones, jewellery, antiques or fine art unless specifically agreed with us in writing, in advance of storing such goods in the unit
Illegal substances, illegal items or goods illegally obtained
Birds, fish, animals or any other living creature
Food or perishable goods . Dry foods (like rice, flour, pet food etc.)
Scented candles or ornaments made of edible ingredients (e.g. popcorn strings, cookie or play-dough ornaments)
Waste or other items which do or could emit any fumes, smell or odour
Please ensure that the fuel tanks of any items that require fuel (e.g. motorbikes, lawnmowers, cars) are fully drained.
Stoves, barbeques and other cooking appliances should be thoroughly cleaned so as not to attract pests. Refrigeration equipment should be defrosted and dry, and the door left open to allow air circulation and to prevent mould.
