Loading Your Storage Space
Remember to utilize all the space available by stacking like-sized boxes either on one another or on furniture or appliances. Don't forget to use the space under tables.
Boxes can be stacked on and packed inside large appliances.
Use pallets, plastic sheeting or heavy drop cloths to keep furniture and boxes of paper and cloth off the concrete floor.
Place items you need most often at the front of the space.
Leave a small aisle for access to items at the back.
Consider using shelving units to maximize space if you will be accessing your unit often.

Insurance
The goods you place in self storage units are the sole responsibility of you, their owner. Goods are not insured by the storage facility. If your insurance does not cover stored possessions, check with your local insurance agent about acquiring "all risk" insurance coverage for your goods.
Prohibited Items
Common sense and government laws determine what may be stored. You alone control access to your storage space; therefore, never store money, live animals, perishables, liquids, explosives, flammable liquids and fuels, or other items that need a controlled environment. Remember to drain the fuel from gasoline engines before storage and to protect the floor with drop cloths or something similar.
